Clark Tippet | Selected Dance/Choreography Performances

These videos show Tippet as a dancer and as a choreographer of ballet. As a dancer, Tippet was recognized for his ability to fully fill the roles - both great and small -- which he danced with energy, grace and wit. As a choreographer, Tippet created 8 ballets in a short five year period - the first five for the American Ballet Theatre and the last three for the Pacific Northwest Ballet. These were also performed by several other ballet companies as well. Tippet worked with some of the most widely-acclaimed choreographers of his time: Tharp, Parsons, Tudor, Tetley, and MacMillan, among others. He was not surprisingly declared by the New York Times to be one of the most promising choreographers of ballet of the 90s. These video performances show why.
